UPAEP was founded in 1973 as a project of the people of Puebla, led by the youth who at the time decided to make a difference and undertake, for the sake of freedom and university autonomy, an endeavor that has been realized in what UPAEP is today: an institution committed to the search and dissemination of truth, aligned with Christian humanism. UPAEP is and always has been committed to the formation of professionals who are agents for change and transformation in order to achieve the Common Good.
